In collaboration with the private sector, INTSOY developed a new process to texture soy protein. The starting material in this process is whole soybean rather than solvent extracted flakes. This means that processors in countries that do not have access to solvent extracted flakes can now make textured soy using whole or dehulled soybeans as the starting material.
