Notes:
INTSOY has developed an innovative process for extracting oil from soybeans. After coarse grinding, whole or dehulled soybeans pass through an extruder, the machine quickly heats the soybeans to about 290 degrees F and destroys the anti-nutritional factors and enzyme systems that can cause off-flavors. The hot soybeans are then conveyed through a screw press, sometimes called an expeller, removing the oil and leaving a meal that can be ground into low-fat soy flour.
