This is a test page for viewing some of the first presentations from the Cairo Conference. This test is to confirm that both the technology is working properly and that the format of the videos themselves is satisfactory. The format of the videos themselves was designed to work in both a web-streaming and a dvd environment.

Before you can view the videos, you must have the QuickTime version 7 player installed on your computer -- earlier versions of QuickTime will not work with these files. The QuickTime player software is free and works on both pc's and macs. Click here to download the free QuickTime installer.

When you install QuickTime, be sure to go to the "preferences" area of the program and set the correct speed of your computer's connection to the internet. It is important that this be done accurately because the speed of your internet setting will control which version of the video you will see. Higher speed connections (256 kbps and faster) will receive a higher quality video than users with slower connections. The minimum connection speed at which these videos will stream properly is using a 56 kbps modem.

After you have installed QuickTime 7, click on the one of the QuickTime icons below to launch the corresponding video in a separate QuickTime player window.

Also, for Windows users, depending on how the security settings for your machine are set up, you may be notified that Windows has blocked this content as part of its routine firewall security and then asked if you want to unblock this setting for this content. It is safe to say "yes" and, in fact, must be done so you can view QuickTime streaming files.
