Carol
K. Johnson
Carol K. Johnson manages the day-to-day placement activities of the
colleges Placement Office as if it were her own business. She
has a well-established and efficient system for all aspects of posting
positions, informing students of procedures, and making arrangements
for interviews. Johnson also maintains the offices website database
of available full-time positions and internships.
In addition to the daily activities she has performed for the Academic
Programs area for the past 18 years, Johnson also successfully coordinates
several major annual events for the college. Her organizational skills
and willingness to "get the job done right regardless of the
hours involved" are key ingredients to the popular fall Career
EXPO and the two spring convocations held for ACES graduates. This
past year, Johnson also assumed responsibility for coordinating the
Jonathan Baldwin Turner Scholars Recognition Banquet, adding another
exceptional event to her list of accomplishments.
The College of ACES is often characterized as being a highly personalized,
caring college where students are known by name and still remembered
20 years later. Johnson contributes greatly to the perpetuation of
that image with her energy, cheerfulness, and Illini spirit. |
